Citadel Pond (a.k.a. Dog Pond), Phoenix Park, Dublin
A bomb was dropped near the pond on the night of Saturday 31st May 1941. Fortunately, the occupants of the Pump Attendants house nearby escaped injury, but the house had to be demolished. Buildings in the Zoo were also damaged as a result.
