Canna X generalis

Canna Lilly This is one of a large group of complex hybrids of garden origin, which used to be divided into two groups: Canna x orchiodes (derived in part from C. flaccida) with flowers tubular at base and petals reflexed, and C. x generalis with flowers not not tubular at base and petals not reflexed. With continued hybridisation these distinctions have become too blured to be useful anymore.
